Late in the 1950s, we pursued a fresh and exciting idea in the world of packaging and developed a totally new kind of company to implement this idea. We named it General Packaging and incorporated in the great state of Texas.
Our new company would utilize a variety of industrial packaging materials in custom-design applications: corrugated fibreboard, wood, and diverse cushioning products. We felt the successful selection and management of such a variety of materials and products would offer the highest level of package protection for the lowest-possible cost. It was an exciting concept to try and bring to the marketplace then — and it is still as exciting and challenging a concept for us to bring to our customers today. |

Now, more than 45 years after our company was started, we are still dedicated to our original goal: producing cost-effective and technically sound packaging worthy of shipping the Southwest to the world.
It is true today that General Packaging has certainly evolved into a much more diversified and capable packaging manufacturing company — yet, we still adhere to the central principles which were important when our company was first founded. The first is to treat our customers as we would want to be treated if we were on the receiving end. Without our wonderful, important customers, we would have no business to call home. Second is to work to bring the best overall value we possibly can to our customers by taking into full consideration areas such as product package design, package protection, competitive price, and customer service. And third, we must always remember that quality is the true centerpiece of our business and the essential ingredient necessary for our continued success.
